Career Group Workshops
Workoco - The Work Opportunities CompanyTM
I have now joined Workoco, a coaching group who have designed a career management workshop entitled, "6 Steps from Preparation to Opportunity".
The course lasts 7 weeks, and is divided into 2 halves. In the first half, Preparation, you will really examine yourself and will see which work you would love to do and which work you would be suited for. The second half of the course, Opportunity, gives you the key skills to find the opportunities in the real world to do your ideal work, teaching you how to present yourself in a professional manner that will be attractive to prospective employers. You will learn the cutting edge marketing skills to translate your career passion into a reality.
A key part of the course is the support you will get. There are 4 levels of support, designed for you to get maximum assistance whilst working your way through the course:
- your Group Leader. This is the coach who is leading your workshop. He or she will be accessible to help you with any queries or issues that might arise.
- your fellow Attendees. The rest of your workshop group will be there to help you and each other make the best possible progress towards your career goal.
- your Buddy. Each attendee is assigned a Buddy and you will work closely with each other in between sessions to keep the momentum going and provide encouragement for each other.
- the online Workoco Community. You will become a member of this valuable online community when you sign up to the Workoco workshops. Why not ask questions of the people who have already started their career change.
